Richard Arthur Newberry lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is a member of The Henderson Writers' Group, a community for authors to learn and grow in their craft. He has been published in many Writer's Bloc Anthologies, and placed second in The Las Vegas Flash Fiction competition. He is married to Betty, a Registered Nurse, and they have one son, Samuel, a United States Marine. They live in a beautiful section of Las Vegas called The Lakes with their three rescues, Rufus, Bandit, and Lil Bit.

Mr. Newberry burst onto the literary scene in 2015 with his SinCity Wolfhound Trilogy, SinCity Wolfhound (2015 Wild Rose Press, NY), SinCity Daemon (2016 Wild Rose Press, NY), and SinCity Mystic (2017 Wild Rose Press, NY). That paranormal series was followed by two stand alone novels, The Theory of Insanity (2019 NewLink Publishing, Las Vegas), and The Vast Configuration (2021 New Link Publishing, Las Vegas).

A trilogy of short stories came next. Known as the Deadly Trilogy, the stories all take place in and around the Las Vegas area, and vary in genre from murder mystery to paranormal to horror to crime. The overall theme of the series has been described as  "When The Twilight Zone meets Black Mirror...what fun!"
